We bought this swing based on the great reviews. After only 1 month of use, the motor completely broke and the swing was completely inoperable. We had to go through the hassle of returning to Amazon. We're going to replace it with a different model because we don't want to risk getting another defective swing. So disappointed!

We received this as a gift for our second son.
1) I have to say it is adorable, and isn't an eye sore in terms of colors .
2) Does not take up any more space than any of the full size Graco swings, or Fisher Price Papasan or Cradle n Swings.
3) Absolutely silent when it swings (we tested it with our 15 pound cat as the baby is yet to be born) which is a MAJOR plus after the Fisher Price swing I had last time!
My first time around I received the Fisher Price My Little Lamb Cradle and Swing. From the get go, the swing hardly swung, and you often had to "push" it to get it going again (mind you with this Bright Starts swing you have to push it to start, but that is clearly stated in the instructions, and when we had our cat swinging, though not for a long time, we didn't have to push it to keep momentum), and it made a TERRIBLE clacking noise. In fact, the motor on the FP swing was a POS from the beginning and we had to have it replaced (FP was good about that though). Even after, it still made a horrid noise, that was louder than the loudest music setting. Also, it would stop swinging and continue to run the motor, making loud grinding noises and clacks, as well as an awful smell. The FP swing said good up to 25 lbs but I had to stop using it when my son was MAYBE 15 pounds. I also LOVE the fact that this Bright Starts swing has a bar across the back, preventing the legs from moving closer/further from each other as constantly happened with the FP swing, and I was constantly readjusting the legs!
Like the title says, so far so great, will update the rating and review if anything changes!
